Grade 5 IDU Celebration

The Grade 5 IDU celebration consisted of students creating their own businesses. They learned using the STEM approach going through four disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The students observed and inquired going through production and packaging processes, visiting a factory, designing their own logos and calculating cost, profit and break-even point using an interdisciplinary method. They reflected on their work and learned how to face challenges which resulted in improving their thinking and communication skills. Lastly, they enjoyed selling their products and donating the money to Friends of Students Charitable Society. Thank you grade five students, you did a great job!
